Editor's Letter - September

Open is having a party tonight, the 12th September.

It’s all very exciting and not a little stressful.
So, the things on my mind at present are: lemons, balloons ( or not?) speakers, outfit ( !!!!)  hair ( wash )  performers, speech ( can I wing it? )  limes  (maybe better?)

What I keep reminding myself, though, is that it’s wonderful to have something to celebrate.

Open is now gathering thousands of new readers every week, so thank you to everyone  who’s found us and for sending in your lovely comments ( there’ll soon be a feedback section so you can see all .)

I always check my stars and Enid Williams, Open’s astrologer, is very accurate.

Our Big Screen Editor Vera Brozzoni has just returned from the Venice Film Festival ( where she reported back with some great exclusives and reviews)  and now she’s all set to give you the low-down on this season’s new releases, as well as plenty more exclusive interviews and comment.

And do keep up-to-date with Ben Dowell’s very funny insights and exclusive gossip from the world of arts and media.

Now, I must go and think more about lemons ( or limes.)
