Tigi Rocks!!
July 14th, 2010
At Wireless festival they had all sorts of stalls and tepees scattered around both backstage areas and the areas that us normal folk are allowed to hang. Situated adjacent to the catwalk area put on by UGG was a Tigi tent , where stylists were teasing the locks of the models and those punters wanting to look festival chic.
I had a chat to one of the representative about the products. As you may have cottoned on to I am a tad lazy when it comes to beauty/grooming products, in fact I don’t do anything to protect or style my hair in terms on products. I also have to admit to using a 2 in 1 supermarket brand to wash my thick long hair, which is only treated to a cut once or twice a year! Shocked by my regime he hot footed it to the pr to ensure I went home with some TIGI goodies .
Thank goodness he did, using these has made me realize how dry and brittle my hair was before. After just one wash and condition with the RE-ENERGIZE Urban Antidotes Bed Head products my hair felt soft and silky, goodness I’m starting to sound like one of those cheesy adverts, do not worry I’m not about to pop in one of those made up science words!!
To finish off my hair revitalize I have been using the rather phallic shaped After Party , a creamy soothing cream which has made my slightly fluffy hair sleek and healthy looking.
Probably the most useful products for me though are the Born to Rock Detangler and the Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo (which I’ve annoying managed to leak all over my floor after one use!!). I am at a festival pretty much every weekend for the rest of the Summer with my new TV show “Whatever is Takes”, which means sleeping in a sweaty van/tent with no substantial washing facilities for up to 5 days in a row. This, as you can imagine leads to a less that desirable head of hair, the dry shampoo however keeps it going a lot longer and actually gives the hair an attractive intentionally messy texture!
I have a festival bag, you know the perfect sized shoulder bag that can fit in a camera, some make up, money, pack-a-mac etc , unfortunately my hair always end up tangled up in the strap and by the end of the weekend I am left with a giant dreadlock. I have nearly had to face the reality of chopping my hair off, something which is far from ideal with ears like mine and a face that doesn’t take kindly to a bob or elfin crop. Whilst the detangler has proved to help this situation greatly I still do not enjoy the activity of unravel myself from my bag, so at Nass this weekend I sported my mums Bumbag, it is cool… really!!
