MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT’S ‘IN THEIR SHOES’ CELEBRITY SHOE AUCTION
Britain’s most prestigious shopping arcade,The Burlington Arcade which first opened in 1819 to huge aclaim, will be giving shoppers the opportunity to preview the beautiful shoes which have been donated by A-list stars for the Macmillan ‘In Their Shoes’ ball, sponsored by Capita. The ball, which takes place on Thursday 19 November, will raise money to help Macmillan to improve the lives of even more people affected by cancer.
Visitors to the Arcade between Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 18 November can take a peek at the desireable shoes donated by stars including Kylie, Rod Stewart, Cindy Crawford, Kevin Spacey, Denise Van Outen, Christian Louboutin and for sports fans even Ashes hero Andrew Strauss’ Ashes winning footwear are on offer! The Annual Ball is Macmillan’s most glamorous event and is set to be one of the most successful Macmillan events of the year. A three-course meal in a prestigious setting, dancing and top class entertainment and a unique experience all add to this great fundraising evening.
The theme ‘In their shoes’ is about taking guests on a journey in the shoes of the people who benefit from the money raised at the event.
