Vera Brozzoni - Big Screen Writer
Vera Brozzoni hails from a small town in northern Italy, where she first practiced the noble art of film criticism. Years of experience taught her how to hone all her skills except one - diplomacy.
Thus, after finding herself constantly quarrelling with her colleagues about life-or-death matters such as the flight of mosquitos in the films of Straub-Huillet or the symbology of dogs in the works of Mamoru Oshii, she jumped on a plane to London. Now she is free to appreciate whatever comes to her ever-fresh and child-curious eyes. She still quarrels with Italian colleagues, and that is why she keeps writing in her native language on www.loudvision.it - let's face it, she loves a good fight from time to time. In fact since she came to London she also became passionate of Martial Arts (Japanese and Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Kung Fu) and of heavy metal. Her favourite directors are Shinya Tsukamoto, Nicolas Winding Refn, Werner Herzog, Yasuzo Masumura, Michael Haneke, David Cronenberg, David Lynch.
